Application procedure

Before you start the application process: It is in your best interest to complete your own application. Egerton University does not make use of representatives, agents or agencies during the application process. If you choose to make use of representatives, agents or agencies, you do so at your own risk. Applications will be considered only after the required processing fee has been paid.

You can access the online application system from your computer by typing on your browser.

Search or click on a programme of your choice to see its requirements an example is shown below.

However, if you don’t meet the academic qualifications, don’t worry. We would require you to key in details about other relevant courses that you have done to boost your academic qualification.

Assuming that you have met the program requirements, click on “Apply” to proceed with other steps. Once the “Apply” button has been clicked, the following page will appear.

N/B: For first time users, you need to register with us by filling the registration form as shown in the diagram above.

For applicants who have an account with us, you need to enter your email and password credentials that you used while you were creating your account.

In case you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot Password?” below the login button and follow the instructions given to recover your password.

Once you are logged in, you will be required to enter your Academic Preferences an example is shown below.

Click on Save to proceed. Then select two programmes that you would like to be considered in, an example is shown below.

Then you will be required to enter your KCSE details and if you do not meet the minimum qualifications, you will be prompted to enter your other academic qualifications. An example is shown below.

And if the minimum requirement is not met enter your other academic qualifications and experience by filling the form below:

N/B: Ensure that you upload scanned copies of your original certificates either in .pdf or .png form.

The final step in-order to complete your application process and in-order for it to be considered is to make payment.

There are three modes of payment namely:

  • M-PESA
  • Credit Card / PayPal
  • Bank

Application fee payment via M-PESA

  1. Go to M-PESA on your phone.
  2. Select Lipa na M-PESA option
  3. Select Pay Bill option.
  4. Enter our Business no [xxxxxx]
  5. Enter your application ID number as sent to your mobile phone
  6. Enter the required Amount to pay.
  7. Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send

Application fee payment via Credit card / PayPal

Once you have chosen the PayPal option, the following page will appear. Click on “Pay Application Fee” button to proceed with making payment.

Application fee payment via Bank

You can make payment to any of our Bank Accounts as shown below, then scan the bank slip and upload it as shown below.

  • KCB Bank - A/C Number: XXXXXXX

N/B: Only after making the required payment is when your application will be submitted for consideration.
